Abstract:

This book tries to broach, under various aspects, certain types of interactions in gravitational field, especially the gravitational field–electromagnetic field interaction, and consists of six chapters. The chapter II is the most complex section of the book and is based, in its first part, on the metric of the Gödel rotating universe model. The tetradic formalism is introduced into the Gödel universe and Maxwell’s equations are written without their sources, thus ignoring the disturbance of the metric due to the presence of electromagnetic energy. Chapter IV presents the elaboration process of an interesting concept analyzed, the generalized superconductivity, by analogy with ordinary superconductivity, defined in theory of the electromagnetic field. Within Chapter V, one proposes the following model: the presence of any gravitational field is equivalent with the existence of a space-time manifold V4. In this context, a gravitational wave, even in linear approximation, corresponds to a non-Euclidian type structure of V4. To study the interaction of two gravitational waves, a second wave is considered, defined into the linear approximation too, a wave that will be distorted by the non-Euclidian structure of V4. This distortion will define the interaction of the two waves.
